Josiah was the patriarch of the Connecticut Branch of the Churchill family in Wethersfield, Conn. There were 3 branches (Connecticut, Plymouth & Manhattan). He married Elizabeth Foote daughter of Nathaniel Foote and Elizabeth Demming. One of their sons was Joseph (I think he was the oldest and inherited his father's property in Wethersfield/Newington Parish).
You are so far ahead of me. I just started and having trouble finding out who James Churchill born 1848 in Canada fathers name and mothers name and maiden name. James was my Great Grandfather.
