Seeking out descendants of my great grandparents. I live in Australia. My father and I both only children. My grandmother, Margaret Wilson Kerr married Alfred Arthur Richard Beard in Sydney in 1922. I only know of my grandmother's brothers and sisters - their names, Janet (Jess), Alexander, Hugh, David, Thomas, Joseph, Robert, Eliza and Mary.

Thomas was a coach / cab driver and lived at 24 Caledonian Road, Edinburgh. My Aunt Jess was a spinster and a nurse, as was my Aunt Eliza. Mary married and her surname was Ruickbie.

I am very keen to find cousins and to be able to extend my knowledge of my heritage.

hi judymart - go to the east coast of scotland by the border of england in the older days their was the Kerr teritory . something like a county - Look up the scotland &their ancestral grounds, scottish clans - 2 years ago i completed a book on the " kerrs " and they date right back to BC. in jordan with their name changes. The first " Kerr " in scotland was was " John the hunter of stubbo " follow that trail and you may find all you want on the " Kerrs " they were originally in France - Denmark . Norway - arriving from Switzeland - original name spelt " KJARS " Regards - edmondsallan
