Kilgannon Family

Looking for information for Alexander Kilgannon/Kilganon or possibly another spelling.
Alexander was in Lennox Addington in 1847 when he married Catherine Vent. Story goes that he was a stowaway with either his brother or sister and finally got to Kingston Ontario area. Some suggest Sligo Ireland. No one really knows any suggestions would be grateful.
