My great,great grandfather John Harradence married an Elizabeth Kimpton in Littlington. Exact date unknown but probably around 1820. Elizabeth was apparently the daughter of the local vicar and in his honour their son also John Harradence had the Kimpton name added and he became John Kimpton Harradence. Date of birth unknown. My grandfather George Edward Kimpton Harradence was born in Woolmer Green Herts in 1886 and died in Eastbourne in 1950. The Harradence name was often also spelt Harradance many offspring had the Kimpton name included in their full names.
