Kitcura Williams

To further confuse everyone, a young child of Edgar P Williams and Elizabeth Carr/Kerr was named Kitcura in the 1860 census. She would have been born in about 1857. She may have married or passed on, as she is no longer with the pair on the 1880 census. I not only cannot find her, I cannot find ANYONE ever being named that before or since. There were about half a dozen folks who turned in Pennsylvania with KITCHURA as a last name, but I can find no other source for that as a first or last name at all. Given this line's fascination with naming folks after kin and ancestors, I though MAYBE it was Elizabeth's mother's maiden name or such. Also, I know from first hand experience, (involving my Great Grandmother whom I personally knew until she passed when I was 12), census takers often spelled what they HEARD, and many accents caused outrageous results. Keturah was a Bible name. It could have been really that. Anyway, if anyone knows of anyone named Kitcura as first OR last name, please let me know. I cannot imagine that they just made that up, although it is possible.

Thanks.
