Briefly, we are researching William Krauss (1833-1898) and Margretta Elizabeth Knauf (1833-1879) from the Glen Innes NSW area. Their children include:

Charles W (b. 1862)
John Henry (b. 1863)
Louisa Christina (b. 1865)
Hannah Elizabeth (b. 1867)who married Edward Donnelly IN 1890
Reynard (b. 1869)
Elizabeth Margaret (b. 1872)
Augusta (b. 1876)
and their associated families.

Margretta's Krauss (nee Knauf) parents were John Knauf (1801-1882) and Elizabeth Ahpe (1803-1876) Their other children were
George b. 1840- 1883)
Arthur (1844-1919) ma.. Annie Elizabeth Discher.

Both The Krauss and Knauf families emigrated on the "Fanny Kirschner" to Sydney in 1858.

We are lucky to live only one hour from Glen Innes and the State records repository at Armidale is in our home town, so we have access to records that others have not been lucky enough to have seen.
