Legend to Fact

There was always a vague saying in the family that we were somehow connected to Enid Blyton, so I was thrilled when I found that one of our Pullen line, Florence Maud Pullen, had married Enid Blyton's brother Hanley Blyton. The results of my subsequent search tally with that already on this site, and I found that in one census the family were transcribed incorrectly as Blydon, not Blyton. However, I found in the census that George Blyton was a shoemaker, and it was Thomas Blyton who went to London and was apprenticed to a large draper and then set up his own shop. Go well!
