My family knows little to nothing about the Leggett family that is attached to our tree. All we know for certain is that my great-grandmother was Eliza Virginia (Jenny) Hale Hardie and her maiden name was Leggett.

According to the federal census she was born in Arkansas and her mother was born in Arkansas and her father was born in Mississippi, however, another source says her mother was born in Mississippi and her father in Arkansas. My great-grandmother gave birth to 11 children, I can see her getting the two confused. Ha! Eliza lived and raised her family in Howard County, Arkansas (Center Point, Corinth, near the Nashville area) and died there in 1937. Thank you for responding!!
