Lookin for John Plummer S Parents Siblings

I am trying to find my GGG Grandfathers parents. According to the 1850 census of Neosho, Mo. John was born in North Carolina. It appears he migrated to Missouri in about 1834,I was unable to find him in a federal census until 1850. He Married Hannah POWERS in about 1836, she was from Ashe county NC, her fathers name was William POWERS, her Mother was Mary SHEARER. They lived in the Horse Creek township. Her father William died about 1833, Mary then moved her family to Newton county, Mo. as Did John PLUMMER( did they travel together??)There was a Joseph Plummer that lived in Helton Township NC(within Miles of Horse Creek), but I have been unable to determine that John was a son, but he may of been or related and lived in a different county of NC. Any information to this line of Plummer's would be appreciated. Thanks.
