Alfred was born in 1833 in Maine, married Hannah W. Hancom (daughter of Isaac Hanscom)September 29, 1857 in East Machias Maine. They had 8 children including Charles W. Bryant b. 1858, d. 1951, married Cordelia Huntley October 20, 1888. They had two sons: James and Morey.
