The earlist Gilbert traced is Dan Gilbert b 1791 but not known where born. He married Ellen Nowlan and left Ireland in early 1800's settling in Vauxhall, London, England. They had several children John b 1820 (Ireland)
Mary b 1826 (Ireland). Daniel b 1831. Patrick b 1836. Austin b 1843.
John became Priest died in 1846 in Liverpool -Thypus martyre
Mary married John Butterworh- Chemist.
Daniel became Priest Vicar Westminster d
Patrick stayed in London and married
Austin returned to Ireland settling in Ferns, Co Wexford and married Mary Murphy.
