hi Gary,
like to add a few dates & a country & someone might be able to help

William Arthur Gill may have been born about 1886. Fairly certain he was born in America. Son George was born in Kentucky, USA. Birth date was 14 May 1908 and death date was 20 or 23 Sept 1945 in Columbus, Bartholomew, Indiana, USA. No dates or places on daughter Viola other than she married Mervin Lair. Thank you

Maybe Viola was born to a second wife, although that is not the family story. Arthur was married possibly three times. Per US Census 1930: William A. Gill was married to Leona and she had a daughter named Katherin Pence.

Viola Gill had children named Betty, Verla (sp), Patty, and Michael. My source is my late grandmother who was Viola's niece.

I think this might be your Arthur Gill in 1920. He looks like he married an Ethel ??

That makes more sense. Using FamilySearch.org, I haven't been able to find anything on parents of William Arthur Gill. Can you recommend other free sources? Thanks
