Looking for Answers for My Grandfather
i am looking for information on my grandfather he died in Christchurch in 1986 i was six months old at the time his name is robert whitley and this is all i know i have one photo of him and thats it my mum cant remember much i think she chooses not to but does ny one have any ideas how i would find information out about him and were do i start ???????

one of the best things to do would be to get a copy of his birth and/or death certificates which will show the names of his parents, spouce etc. This will give you a lot more to go on
are there other living members of your family who can remember the names of his parents, siblings etc ???
do you know his wife's name?, her parents ?
where is he buried? I cannot find him in Christchurch at this time
