Looking for Any Info on My Finance S Gggrandfather and Mother Charles a Akins and OR Matilda M Maiden Unknown

Charles born in Hudson, N.Y.-1818 and Matilda in Red Hook, N.Y.-1824. Lived in the Steuben Co., New York area most of their lives, until 1869 they moved to Ithaca, MI. where Charles died with his two daughters, Mary and Sarah of swamp fever. Matilda moved back to Howard, N.Y. in the late 1870's and in the 1900 lived with her daughter, Carrie Chapman in Avoca, N.Y. Matilda was admitted to the Bath Infirmary or Alms House and died in 8 Oct 1909. We can not find any info of either parents, marriage, nothing before 1820's. Please help any info is greatly appreciated.
