Looking for Atwoods of Kentucky

My Ggrandfather Peter B. Atwood b.Aug 16 1866 Casseville Barry Co.Missouri his father Franklin(Frances)
Atwood b.Oct 24 1825 in Allen Co. Ky.I can't locate his father,but I believe its James Atwood b.1784 Virginia.Other sites has his father as James Atwood b. 1760,but this James wife was also b. 1760 and she would be too old to be Franklin's Mother as he was born 1825.
Any help would be appreciated.
