Looking for Baiamonte Family from Palermo
My father was Jacob Baiamonte and his family is from Palermo, Sicily. It is said that we are Jewish but I have not seen any evidence in the genealogical records which date back to 1717 [Gaspare Baiamonte my ggggrandfather]. However, I have been DNA tested and the results show that I have Jewish roots and belong to the J1 haplogroup.
If anyone has any information that will aid me in my research, I would welcome your imput.
