Looking for BEST connections
Seeking info on Willie James BEST - son of Richard and Anna Lucie Meyer.
Born 18/11/1883 Snowtown (Condowie) Sth Australia.
Moved to Western Australia to farm at or near Kulin; relinquished his property to enlist in the AIF. Enlisted at Blackboy Hill 20/2/1918 and discharged medically unfit 12/6/1918.
Appears on the WA electoral roll in Forrest, 1925; cannot find him after that.
Any assistance much appreciated.

BURIAL.
William James BEST.
Died: 22 October 1952.
Place: Perth, Western Australia.
Age: 70 years.
Buried: Karrakatta Cemetery, Western Australia.
Area: Anglican.
Section: ZP.
Grave: 0474.
Not sure if this is the same William James BEST.
Would have been born about 1882 if age given at death is correct.
He is a close fit. However, the man I am chasing was christened Willie and all his enlistment papers are filled in as Willie or W. Best. He was the son of a Methodist preacher and the family had strong ties to the Bible Christian (Methodist) church.
He does not appear on the WA electoral roll after 1925 suggesting he wasn't in WA in 1952. I have a W.J. Best in Croydon, Sth Australia (Willie James' birth state) in the 1930's and also a W. Best in Woodville North SA in the 1940's. Cannot find any marriage or death info on either.

On his enlistment in 1818 he states he is single
That has thrown me! Right name, right father but he was single when he enlisted with the AIF in WA. Divorced or did Margaret die young? More research - thanks wizard28.
