Looking for Birth Mother of My Great Grandfather George a Wemple

I am looking for the birth mother of George A. Wemple, born 2-17-1864, possibly in Michigan. George was adopted at one day old by Nicholas Wemple (1829 "“ 1905) and his wife, Mary Robbins (1836 "“ 1916). He married Lily (Lillie) Glynn in Michigan in 1884. They lived in Dansville, Michigan.

I am trying to create an accurate family tree, but need this information to do so. Some family members think he was a Dakin. I have done several DNA tests for general information, and am curious about possible relatives on George's biological side.

I tried to find the birth mother of George Wemple. However, I could not find her.
But I did try to go through the state adoption but You have to do it cause I am not family. Go through google.com and put in this: United States Open Adoption Records for Michigan 1864. There you will need to register in your name since I am not family.
It did say free and confidential records, however it may charge for processing I don't know but go and see if you can do it. Good Luck, If you do need more help then Please let me know. Nsueturney60
