Looking for Brooks of New York

I am looking for information on Ezra M. Brooks, born about 1815 in New York. He migrated to Michigan at some point. Family story is that after his first wife's death, he went to New York and married a second time? His first marriage was to Electa Lida Arilla Rouse, who was also born in NY. Family story is that the Brooks moved to Arkansas and Electa died in a prairie fire. This is all the information that I have.
