Looking for Connell of Ireland Connecticutt Rhode Island

My mother's name was Catherine (Kay) Connell/O'Connell - not sure when it was changed. My research stops at Patrick Connell, b.1839(?) Ireland - married Ellen Kelly b.1840 - Ireland. He arrived in USA 1860(?) - they lived in Hampton, CT - starting family (11 children)in 1865. Unsure if married before or after arrival. Eventually settled in Burrillville, RI (mid to late 1890's). Possible parents of Patrick - Peter and Bridget(McNeal?). Parents of Ellen - Andrew and Mary(Noone?).
