Looking for Edge of Bolton Lancashire

Hi.
My 7th great grandfather was JOHN EDGE(1678-1722). He was married to MARY BRIDGE(-1729). His parents were JAMES EDGE(1646-1695) and ELLIN ROGERSON(1647-1724).
Areas such as Breightmet and Bolton le moors ST Peter are listed as places they lived.

Any help in researching or information further back would be very much appreciated.
