Looking for Edward Norton
Born around 1833 no trace of him till he married Ursule Lucie Labatte august 27th 1855 in Penetangishene Ontario. The marriage transcript stipulates he's from Michigan. There is a notation in the register transcription to see the name ANWATEN. There are entries for marriages for Alexander ANWATEN aka NORTON who was born on Christian Island and for Joseph ANWATEN, an Indian born on Manitoulin Island. It is possible there might be a relationship between these two men and Edward.
Had a son in 1861 Joseph James Henry Norton and a daughter in 1864 Electa ( she only lived 3 months)
both children were born in Tiny so I assume he was in that area form 1855 to at least 1864. Ursule died in 1872 so maybe he was there till then. She is buried in Lafontaine. There are no traces of either of them on any of the census except for 1861 where they are listed seperately however both declared they are married son is listed with him and she is listed under Lucy.
the son Joseph James Henry Nothon ( added a H to the name don't know when that happened) married in the province of québec St.Raymond de Portneuf. 1st wife Ludivine Chateauvert second wife Emerence Charland
If anybody can help me or know anything about him post 1855 and after 1864 please let me know
