Looking for Family of Jessie Mae Boone Phillips from Rock Hill South Carolina
I am looking for my mother's family. Her name was Jessie Mae Boone. When she married my father, she added Phillips to her name. She was adopted but her birth father's name was Lee Hyatt. All I know about him is that he lived near Arlington Mills in Rock Hill, South Carolina. My mother's sister's name is Atha Mae and the last I heard she lived in Gastonia, North Carolina. I can only remember her daughter's name which is Diane. My mother, Jessie, was killed by a train on September 14, 1968 in Gastonia, North Carolina. She was riding with a lady who was also killed named Irene Dellinger. I would appreciate anyone who can help me find out anything about my mother's family.

I am not familiar with the USA 's adoption policies but in the UK any adopted child is allow to see all papers relating to their adoption. (I have an adopted son)

Thank you so much. I'm going to try these now. I don't know how old my mom was when she was adopted and I don't know if the Boone's were related to them. In those days, people just didn't talk about it.Atha Mae got married to a man named John Hudson who was a cab driver. I believe they lived on Barrow Street in Rock Hill at that time. He died and now I don't even know where my aunt Mae is. The last I heard was Gastonia and she had remarried. My Mom also had twin brothers named Jesse and Johnny by her birth father who I was told was named Lee Hyatt.
