Looking for Family of Louis R Bennett Who Died IN the Panama Canal Zone

I am trying to find information about my mother's oldest brother, Louis Robert Bennett..Father was Authur Bennett and mother Lillian Davies. I believe he had a daughter named "Barbe" and she may have had 2 daughters in the 60's. He was killed in the Panama Canal Zone, Military records list Ohio, but the paternal side of the family is from Louisiana.
