Was this Mr. Lilly a preacher in VA and WV in the 1800...
Its possible. There are two David Lillys living in Missouri in the 1830s and we know one of them is ours. One of the two was a founding member of a Baptist church so it would follow that he was a preacher - maybe. In our more recent family history (late 1800s and early 1900s) we have family names that are unique (e.g. Tamsey, Benjamin Franklin, John Pleasant) which ties back to family trees out of Virginia, NC and Kentucky area. Any help is appreciated.
