I am looking for ancestors on the Garner side--I have a book on the Fadely side which has been well researched. I would like to trace my ancestral roots to see if they lead to Ireland or France or wherever the root of the surname Garner originates.

The previous comment was from my wife Lynvashti who is researching her family roots.

My great-great grandfather was Lucien Garner, from Hancock Couny, Indiana; we think he was born in North Carolina. He married Elizabeth Keck, widow of Alfred Fields. She was from North Carolina. The had a son, Daniel Thomas born 1866, who married Mary A. Weeks born 1870; they had a son, Herman Charles born Aug 14 1891 in Greensboro, Indiana. Herman married Vashti Elvira Fadely born Mar 8 1894 near Cadiz, Indiana. They had a son, Robert Charles born Oct 4 1924 in Spiceland, Indiana. Robert married Lillian Mae Irwin born Jan 9 1926 in Cudahy, Wisconsin. They had me.

I am looking for further information on Daniel T. Garner and Mary A. Weeks--more details and ancestry of both.

I am trying to trace the Garner genealogy back to the home country; don't know whether it is Ireland or France???

The American side of my family, surname Garner, seems to be North Carolina and Indiana (Hancock and Henry County).

My Grandmother Goldie Mae Fadely was the sister to your Vashti Elvira Fadely. She was born in Kennard, IN as well as my father Joseph Samuel Vance. I have info showing Daniel Garner and Mary Weeks had a son Herman Charles.
