Looking for Grandparents of Concert William Halmshaw Huddersfield Dewsbury Batley Area West Yorkshire
My Great Granddad Concert William Halmshaw was born in Liversedge , West Yorkshire in 1839. He was baptised at Hartshead Parish and his parents were William HALMSHAW ( b 1809 Liversedge ) and Rachel HOWARTH (b 1806 Liversedge).
It is likely that that the parents of William & Rachel came from the same area of West Yorkshire. A comprehensive search of available records has revealed nothing to date! Can anybody out there help ??
Searching on Ancestry I have found a marriage solemnized in the parish of Kirkheaton in the county of York in the year 1835 between William Halmshaw of this Parish a bachelor and Rachel Howarth of this Parish a Spinster were married in the church by Banns this fifth day of October one thousand eight hundred and thirty five.
William signed Rachel made her mark X in the presence of Charles Howarth mark X and Wm Jenkinson
