Looking for Halka and Powers

Looking for any info with the surname Halka. That was my grandfathers name. The only info I have is following my family tree back to his mother and father, which is all word of mouth and memories.

I am also looking up my grandmothers maiden name Powers. I have traced it back to Eliaken Powers Born around 1765(?). I believe he was born in Ireland or his parents were, not really sure on either of those.
