Ariah Park News, Thursday 30 April 1925 WEDDING BELLS HAYES - JEPSEN A pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Paul's Church of England, Temora, on 15th April, the contracting parties being Mr Joseph George Hayes, of Bectric, son of Mr Wm. Hayes and the late Mrs Hayes, of Temora, and Miss Myrtle May Jepsen, daughter of Mr and Mrs F. J. Jepsen, of Pucawan. The Rev, Geo. Laverack, Rector of Ariah Park. was the officiating clergyman. Miss Maxwell was bridesmaid,and the duties of best man were efficiently carried out by Mr C. Jepsen. Mrs Phillips presided at the organ. The bride looked lovely in a cream mousseline satin trimmed dress, with sleeves of radium lace and cascades. She wore a Wreath of orange blossom, and veil. The brides maid wore a pretty dress of heliotrope floral silk, with black picture hat. The bride's travelling dress was of navy serge, trimmed with military braid, with hat to match. After the ceremony, a reception was held at the Queensland Hotel, where the newly married couple received the felicitations of their many friends. The wedding breakfast was then served, and the usual toasts were enthusiastically honored. The happy couple left by the afternoon train for Sydney, where their future home will be.
Joseph George Hayes died on the 14 September 1964, age 63, late of Fairfield. he was the son of William Hayes and Ellen Theresa Myrtle May the daughter of Frederick John JEPSEN and Elizabeth Ann, nee BRENST
