Looking for Help Locating Information on My Great Grandfather James Levy Mcguire and His Wife Augusta Sophia Soffia Tibbetts

I found this info, is it the right family ??

According to the reg James was of Irish origin but born in Scotland. He was 57 on his last birthday and occ Ministry.

Sophia was of Scottish origin but born in New Brunswick. Age at last birthday 39. She had 7 children 5 still living.

It is dated the 4 Aug 1926 and the informant is Carlton McQuire

Augusta S. Tibbets McGuire- Born 1862 Ireland died 1906 Buried in Paroisse -Saint Michel Cemetery Victoria County -New Brunswick, Canada.
They have 5 children and they are: Carleton McGuire Born November 1882 - Died 1972 New Brunswick, Canada Findagrave memorial # 18821972 His wife is Margaret Jenetta Hathaway McGuire Born Jan. 1891 New Brunswick, Died March 8, 1953 Find a Grave Memorial # 77120215 Both are buried in Larlee Creek Cemetery, New Brunswick, Canada.

James Henry McGuire - Born 1887 Died 1971- According to www.geni.com. I had a hard time trying to locate him and his wife but I found his Wife at least I think it is his wife, Elva Mcguire Born 1909 -died 1980, it did not list anyone as her husband but I did find a James F. McGuire with a date of 1890 and died 1918 in the same cemetery. They are both buried in Saint Patrick Cemetery in Middlesex County, Mass. His Find a grave Memorial is 81479076 and her's is 81566583.

Beatrice Olive McGuire Born 1898 and Died 1928 according to www.geni.com but I also had a hard time finding but I traced her husband James Shaw born 1886 -died 1966 to Madison County, Ky. He is the only James Shaw with the same birthday and death. His find a grave memorial # 95175568 but on his tombstone there is a Hallie M. I don't know if this could be Beatrice Olive McGuire or not, To me I don't think so, however Beatrice and James Shaw could have had a divorce. I could not locate a Beatrice Olive McGuire or Shaw in where in the U.S. or Canada.

Lillian McGuire born Sept 6, 1894 Boston, Mass. died Dec 14, 1993. According to www.geni.com she married 3 times. So I looked everyone up and she is going by the name Anagnos. She married Alexander Anagnos Born Aug. 15, 1896, Died Jan 27, 1961 Both are buried in Gardens of Gethsemane Cemetery Suffolk County, Mass. Her Find a grave memorial # is 122749069

Charles Leo McGuire born Oct 22, 1901 Canada, Died June 17, 1973 Fort Pierce, Florida
Cause of death Cancer. His occupation was electrician.
Was married Twice- First wife Mary Mcleod McGuire born unknown died unknown
2nd wife: Tina May Ventham born Feb 21, 1908 Died Nov. 9 1986 Indian River County, Fl.
Both Charles and Tina are buried in Riverview Memorial Park, St. Lucie, Florida
His # is 101963970 and her's is 121535411

Carleton McGuire had 2 children that I could find: Ferne Velma McGuire Pelkey Born 1916 and died 2008 She had 14 children listed on her gravesite. Please read the obituary. Born Feb 14, 1916 Died March 23, 2008 Her spouse Was Albert Lewis Pelkey Born 1901-died 1963. She was loving mother to 8 more children. Read the Obituary.
also Ronald Carleton McGuire Born 1923 in New Brunswick, Canada Died April 23, 2000
Spouse is Edna Ruff McGuire born 1929 died 2012 Both are buried in Larlee Cree Cemetery, Victoria, New Brunswick, Canada His find a grave # is 83714357

Their son is Ronald McGuire Born 1954 died 1973 buried in Hillcrest Cemetery, New Brunswick, Canada. His find a grave memorial # 107865058 I did not find evidence if he had been married or not.
Charles Leo and Mary had I or 2 children and Charles and Tina May Ventham had 3 I think. I could never find his children. But they may be buried in St.Lucie County, Fl. I don't think Beatrice or Janes Henry had any children either.
Ferne Velma Pelkey had the most children but I could not really find any of those but I was pressed for time.
I also found a Grace McGuire born 1907 died Dec. 5, 2001 in New Brunswick, Canada Said she was the daughter of W.B. Cox She is Fern Pelkey's sister. Grace's First husband was Archie Hudson DeMerchant, 2nd husband is Murray Bliss Cox Born Oct 28, 1900 died 1974 his find a grave # 42582080. Her name is Grace Helen McGuire Cox Her find a grave memorial # 42582100. Murray's first wife was Priscilla M. McGuire 1908-1954 .Buried in Larlee Creek Cemetery, Victoria, Canada
His parents are William B. Cox and Roxie White.

Augusta Tibbets Born 1862 died 1906 ,her parents are: Stephen Tibbets Born 1823 -died 1911, his spouse Juliette McFarland born 1827 died 1845 Her father is Benjamin McFarland Born 1802 -Died 1872 and spouse Betsy Leland born 1797 -died 1859 her parents are Ezra Leland 1749 -1815 and his wife Sarah Hamor born 1756-1898

Wizard28 You are spot on with the family you located in the 1901 Census and yes, they did mispel the last name ( Mc guies ) The right spelling is Mcguire
The family appears to move around abit in northern Maine and just across the border in Canada. Several children were born in Limestone Maine... James Levy Mcguire was from Ireland and became a Catholic priest there for a short time. He then left the Catholic ministry and moved to Canada. Family information says that he was a good bit older than Sophia Tibbets. Some records show her as Soffia Tibets. Others as Augusta Tibbets. I think Augusta is right. The family called her Sophia. She is listed as Augusta on the birth certificate of her daughter Beatrice. We just can figure out what happend. The last child Charles Leo Mcguire was born in 1898 and he used to tell my mother that his father passed when he was around 5-6. The mother, Augusta seems to disapear around the same time as all of the surviving 5 children lived together with Carlton McGuire. We have searched bor records in Canada and Maine and just cant find them. I believe James continued to minister as a Baptist preacher but also did some farming as well. I am betting the information we are looking for is in Maine but have not found it yet. Thank you so much for your help. It is greatly appreciated. Jon

Nsueturney60 You did great on the children of James Levy Mcguire and his wife Augusta Tibbetts. I checked out the information you suggested I look at for James and Sophia and I feel pretty certain the James Mcguire you mentioned is not the right guy. I looked at the findagrave site and it says he died in 1859. His last born son was in 1898 named Charles Leo Mcguire. You are correct about him being born in Ireland. I'm still checking out what you suggested I look at for Augusta. That seems very inviting to look at. I am so grateful for the information you have provided. I am hoping the parents of Augusta are the ones you said. I am getting excited about your suggestions. Anything on a birth or death record for Augusta should seal the deal on her. Jon
