The Victorian Government Gazette 24th July 1874 under CONTRACTS FOR THE CONVEYANCE OF MAILS, ETC has contract 834 awarded to a
Michael Hennessy to deliver mail from Dandenong and Berwick, six days a week & contract 835 a Michael Hennessy to deliver mail to and from Dandenong and Cranbourne, by way of Lyndhurst and South Lyndhurst, six days a week. To and from Cranbourne and the Clyde, three days a week. Contract 834 was for 48 pounds and 835 84 pounds.

Michael Hennessy had held mail contracts previousl;y.
