You are talking about a man famous in Queensland
He was the Hon. William Henry Campbell M.L.C., born on the 18 July 1846 in Jersey, Channel Islands and died on the 17 June 1919 at Craignish, Barcaldine, Queensland.
He began and edited 'The Western Champion" newspaper in Queensland for about 40 years. His father was Charles Stuart Campbell 1779-1854 and mother was Elizabeth Charlotte, nee Dale 1816-1898. He married Mary Simmons Powell 1847-1929.
