I am looking for information on my Mamma- Emma Betts born 1884 in Sutton in Ashfield Nottinghamshire. She had two daughters Ethen born 1904 and Edna (my mother) born 1906. She married ...........Witham. I have not got my grandfathers christian name. Can you assista me?. Margaret Douglas 21.04.07

Have you had any look finding Emma Betts and Mr Witham yet?
I have an Emma Betts on my tree, she was born in 1884 in Sutton In Ashfield. She lived at 56 Chatsworth Street, Sutton In Ashfield (which is just off Outram Street)with her parents John (born 1855) and Mary (born 1856) in 1891 and 1901.
Her parents John and Mary moved to Lime Street, Sutton In Ashfield which is where they died (also just off Outram Street).
There is an Emma Betts marrying a James Witham in 1904 in Masfield district which would tie in nicely with their daughter being born the same year. I have not purchased the certificate tho to check her maiden name is Betts, so its purely guess work.
