Are you related ??? I,m over the Moon. Ive been trying to find out about Karn Marie Jensen for years every time I go back I find out a little more Three years ago i really started to do the family tree on both sides
How did you know they were this family was related I had her down as being Ane
But didn,t know any more about her
I live in Australia now have just come back from 6 weeks in Napier
I go out to Makaretu Cemetery most times i come to NZ

SharonL on 2014-08-09 06:21:35HI Chris I have the census records from Denmark with them on and I was doing quite a bit of research on them. I believe she was actually born Karen Marie, the daughter of Peder and Kirsten Jensen who emigrated from Denmark on the Winchester. In the ships passenger manifest it shows that they traveled with their two sons - Hans Peter and Carl Julius, the girls traveled on the same ship but as single girls. Her other sisters name was Ane Kirstine Jensen. I have the will of Kirstine Jensen and in it she she leaves her estate to be divided between her 9 grandchildren - one of whom was Walter Abrahams of Waipawa. One of the other grandchildren was my grandmother. I hope I am right or else I am really confused. If you want any of this you can contact me and I will email or post it all to you and then you can decide :-). Sharon
