My 6th grate-grand father, David Poe (1645-1742), was from Dring, Kildallon Parrish, Cavan, Ireland. this could be your Drung. Husband of Sarah Clifford.
Father of Alexander Poe, Anne Scott, and John Poe.
My 5th grate-grandfather , John Poe was from County Cavan (1720-1756) He died in Baltimore, Maryland. He came to America with his wife, Jane McBride and at least one son.
They all seemed to have stayed in Maryland.
I thought there was another connection, but my Westmoreland is in Virginia. Where my Bailey's lived. One even married a Bradly (Bradley, Brady) in North Carolina. All before 1850.
Well, just incase our families knew eachother. don't know how big County Cavan is.
