Hi! Do you know in what part of Sweden August was born 1857?
Best regards,
Johan

Thank you, Johan. My best information is he came from Alvsborg. He was probably baptized in Alboga. Anything you have could help me a lot. I believe his parents were Petter Andersson and Anna Larsdotter, but that may not be right. Thank you for replying, Johan. My name is Jayne Anderson.

Hi Jayne! The best way to find August Andersons parents is probably to follow August Anderson back from the date he left Sweden. Is this the right August Anderson in the US?

From where did you get the birth parish Alboga?

Best regards,

Hi Johan! The birth parish Alboga came from a baptism record on familysearch.org. The site reference is:
Sweden, Älvsborg Church Records, 1642-1897; index 1681-1860 GS Film Number 000418946 Digital Folder Number 004376705 Image Number 00448.
I don't know if this is correct or not. The findagrave.com reference is a newspaper obituary for my great-grandfather August Anderson. Thank you for your help, Johan!
Have a great day! Jayne
