Looking for Info on Robert James Inkster Annie Inkster

My wife is trying to find out more about Agnes Inkster and her husband John Forbes who emigated to New Zealand on the Avalanche in 1875 with her mother Marion(nee Inkster) and their 6 childen.

Birth, Death and Marriage - Historical Records - New Zealand ... lots of INKSTERs in bdm records by the way.

The HUGHES family in my tree came to New Zealand via the ship 'Avalanche', arriving New Plymouth 21 Jan 1875.

Strangely, I can't see your wife's FORBES family listed. Did you know the Avalanche came to NZ in 1877 but was wrecked with many lives lost?
