Victor married Susan Eddy of Ballarat, Victoria
Their only children, twins, died at birth
Victor assisted in the rebuilding of Napier after the earthquake
His ashes were buried in the Purewa cemetery, Auckland on 2 October,1951
His widow, Susan died in Ballarat in 1966
