Looking for Information for Elizabeth Chisholm

Elizabeth Chisholm b ABT 1754 d ABT 1830 in Duck River, Giles Co., TN. Married to Henry Goodnight. Henry Goodnight b Aug 1758 in Bedford, VA d BET 1840-1850in Giles Co., TN was s/o Hans [John]Michael Goodnight & UNK.Hans John Michael Goodnight b ABT 1725 in Germany d Sept 1781 in Near Harlan's Station, KY. Both parents unknown.
Does anyone have any help or suggestions as to how I could go about finding information as to who Hans parents were? Help would be so appreciated, thanking you in advance.

Was this the daughter of John Chisholm who was a close working friend to the Indians and had a trading post?
I believe John Chisholm was married to a Indian women. Possibility of the Cherokee tribe.
