Looking for Information of My Grandfather Greaves

Please help me if you can. I am looking for information on my grandfather.

My father Leonard Hugh Greaves was born in Cape Town, South Africa in 1928.

I have hardly any information on my grandfather except that he was english and was lost at sea while my father was tiny, my father had no recollection of him.
