I'm trying to find information on

Annie BIRD who married

Leo WARE in Capetown South Africa on 21 Jan 1886

and their daughter Sylvia Laura WARE born 23 Feb 1886 Capetown South Africa.

Information I know so far

Annie BIRD was born 2 July 1866 Capetown South Africa

parents
William BIRD and Aletta SMALL

Birth certificates of her 3 children born in Australia state

Annie BIRD married Leo WARE 21 January 1886 in Capetown South Africa

Leo WARE, with Annie & Sylvia
left from Cardiff NW Capetown in 1889 on board SS Ashleigh Brooke (as Mr & Mrs Weir & 1 child)
arrived Sydney 19 June 1889

When and where Leo WARE arrived in South Africa is unknown but it would be after the 1880 US Census as he is on that in New York, and before 1886 when he married Annie and when Sylvia was born.

There is a possibility that Leo went with his brother George WARE, It appears that the brothers Leo & George worked for their mothers brother (Uncle) Ludwig Wiener who was a prominent man in South Africa he is listed as Consulate to a few countries and highly successful businessman.

Unfortunately Leo had a bad habit of changing his name Leo/Leon/Leonard/Lennard also adding Washington at times.

His brother George also added Washington as a middle name.

Annie BIRD & Leonard WARE were re married? probably to satisfy naturalisation requirements
11 Oct 1898 in Carlton Victoria, I have the certificate

Annie's details listed as
Annie Bird born 1866 Capetown SA
Father William BIRD Traveler
Mother Aletta maiden name SMALL

Leo's
Leonard WARE born 1861 New York USA
Father Marcus WARE Commissions Merchant
Mother Renata maiden name WIENER

I have the Australian and most of the New York information on the WARE family.

Can anyone help me find out more about Annie BIRD and the birth of Sylvia Laura WARE in South Africa or point me to somewhere I can do some research online.
