Looking for Information on Charles Henry Broughton

My grandfather, Charles Henry Broughton, left New Zealand on the ss Ruahine on 15 Aug 1917 with his regiment, the NZ Rifle Brigade Reinforcements, he was in G Company. He subsequently died on 27 June 1919 in the military hospital in Tidworth, Wiltshire, and is buried in the military cemetary at Tidworth, not far from where I now live. He was English, born in London, and his family (including his daughter Rose Elizabeth - my mother)and his wife, Elizabeth, lived in London. He seems to have been a bit of a mystery character, leaving his family behind and travelling around the world as a merchant seaman. I suspect he may have had another family, or at least another lady in his life, in NZ, and would love to find out more about him.
