Looking for Information on James Stewart Paterson

I wonder if anyone out there can help me find out about my biological grandfather "James Stewart Paterson"
I dont know alot but know he died at age 42 in christchurch in 1957 when my dad was 2, also that he was living in dunedin for some time and was in the dunedin or scottish pipe band.
Any information would be great as would quite like to see if there is any other family out there :)
