Looking for Information on Le Vaillant Family IN New Zealand

I believe that family was around the Akaroa (early French settlement) & Cheviot districts

Thank you for that. Have hit a dead end as my grandmother is not listed under the family name but have death certificate stating fathers name as Le vaillant
