Do you know what State/Territory of Australia?

tonkin

Could be the Martin O'CONNOR and Maggie MANNING married 1889 in the Sydney district of N.S.W. Lots of Margaret's are called Maggie. Nothing recorded in the Victorian or South Australian records.
May be of some help.

Yes this is the Martin and Magie,i cannot find details of Martins Father or Mother or the Birth deatails for Martin, any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am Martins great great grandson

I'm still doing some digging regarding Martin's birth and parents, but it's a bit hard to confirm without a few more details.

To start with have you confirmed Martin's death. There are several deaths recorded for a Martin OCONNOR. Would I be correct to say he was the Martin that died in 1896 - parents not named? All the other deaths name the parents, so I expect this will be him.

The quickest way to solve your problem would be to obtain the marriage certificate for Martin and Maggie, as this should tell you the names of Martin's parents, including Martin's place of birth.

Just to confuse things more there are three deaths recorded for a Maggie OCONNOR in N.S.W. for the years 1951, 1963 and 1968, but I expect you the correct one.

Will await your reply.

have since found that Martins parents are possibly Michael O'Connor and Johanna Cronin, married Manchester NH USA 15 April 1858, i need to establish if this is correct. Martin has a brother Andrew and sisters Margaret and Mary.
Martin was born 22 Sept 1860 Manchester Mass USA died 10 Jan 1931 Perth Western Australia.
Probably came from USA to NSW Australia abt 1861-1865.
Now looking to establish proof of Martins parents and then find the Parents of Michael from Manchester USA.

This explains why I have hit a brick wall with your Martin as I thought he was born in Australia. Good luck with your search.
