Looking for Information on William Mcdowell Born IN Belfast Ireland IN 1843

He married Jane Neill in 1867 in the county of Antrim Ireland. They sailed in NZ onboard BlueJacket Ship (Plymouth to Lyttelton) in 1867. They had a son called William who died as a baby - and then the following children in 1870 William Jr, 1874 Maria, 1875 Henry, 1877 Edith Jane, 1878 Francis, 1879 Nathan.

I believe his father was called Henry - but I am unable to find any further information about his parents and siblings.

I have looked through all the irish census pages, but I have fallen short.

Hoping someone out there knows a little more about my family history.

Check out irishgenealogy.ie It is free to searh and download any available images. The marriage of William and Jane 4 June 1867 is availale and original document is available. He is recorded as William McDowall. Both their fathers are recorded. No mention of their fathers being deceased so you should be able to find other family members and records.
