Looking for Information on William Preston Kent Mississippi

I am looking up my step mothers family and am unable find her grandfather William Preston Kent. I have Information that he was married to Bertha Adell Smith (year Unknown) and that they had their first child in 1926, george william Kent (mom's father). Family stories say that william preston or press was killed in an accident in tippah county,mississippi sometime btwn 1945 and 1947. I know that bertha was in michigan at the time of her death and was transported back to tippah county for burial( pleasanthill cemetary in Ripley)
I can find NO documentation on william preston at all. ANy information would be greatly appreciated.
I have Bertha adell smith's information and would be willing to share what I have.
