This is what I found, William Shute married Mary Clark and they had a son William Shute who married Ann Jones. I'm enclosing the the site address of where I found it. Type that into your browser and it should take you directly to the rootsweb search that I did.

Thank you for the information. I am still trying to piece together the dates as this would make him sixty some when he became Williams father. Is there a birth date for Mary Clark?
