hi i am looking for james and hannah wright who immagrated from essex england. his son was also called james who married anne grant, son james is buried in whangamonana,his wife anne is buried in hawera.

Hi Tiddles,
I have a James Wright born in Essex abt 1851. His older sister migrated to Australia with her husband in 1858 and other family connections before and after that! I suspect more of the Wright siblings may have migrated too as they lost their Mum in 1852. There are Wrights all over S.A. and Victoria! and there was a lot of movement between NZ and Oz in those days.

hi jded, in replying to your james wright, this one is my great grandfather who sailed out on the crusader to lyttleton nz abt 1874 from plymouth england. his parents were george and mary.james and anne hannah were married at horndon on hill essex england. annes mother was fanny or francis prail who married george kemp. james snr and anne hannah are buried in kiaopi oxford canterbury south island nz his son james married anne grant. thanks for replying heres hoping tiddles
