My name is Donald Jane and my fathers name was Norman Jane and I think my grand fathers name was Densal Jane - That all the info I have on the Jane family.
Don, do you have birth and or death dates for your father and grandfather? The most recent published census for Saskatchewan was the Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta census done in 1916. It is free to view at collectionscanada.gc.ca. On the home page you go to censuses. On the censuses page you scroll down until you see the census you want. If your grandfather was living in Saskatchewan at the time of the 1916 census he should be on it. You would have to know where in Saskatchewan he lived in order to shorten the list of images to go through. If he was living before 1911 he should be on the 1911 federal census as well.If you find him in a census young enough you will find the family group with his parents and sometimes a grandparent living with or close to the family. If your grandfather was born before 1901 you could find him on the 1901 federal census. Good luck!!
Hi Dianne Thanks for the response - I found my grandfathers and my great grandfathers names and birth countries - they were from England - I am still trying to find their birthdates - My Grandfather imigrated to Canada and my father was born in Canada - I'm still not sure were my father was born. Thanks Don
